Behaviour Policy

Abraham Moss Community School aims to create and maintain a safe learning environment where all children and adults feel safe, secure and valued and know they will be listened to and taken seriously. Our school is committed to‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and follows the statutory duties and implements an eSafety policy, practices and procedures which promote safeguarding and the emotional and physical wellbeing of children, young people and staff.

The school is committed to the development of the whole person. Equality of access to a broad, balanced and inclusive academic curriculum and a caring pastoral curriculum is at the heart of this. This promotes personal development sensitive to individual needs and a strong sense of global citizenship within our pupils. We celebrate diversity, providing quality teaching and innovation that raises standards, extends choice and helps equalise life chances that prepares pupils to achieve economic well being. Full attendance is encouraged in a safe environment which promotes well-being and underpins academic progress. It is recognised that when staff and pupils feel good about themselves they perform and engage better within school life. Personal feelings affect behaviour, attendance motivation, health and social development. Pupils must know that they are all seen as having equal worth.
