Headteacher Message
Mrs. Josette Arnold & Mrs. Faye Bond
Dear Parent/Carers It is hard to believe we are already into our second week of the term, but time really does fly when you are fully immersed in learning and new experiences! We are thrilled to see our enrichment activities have started, offering everyone a chance to explore interests and develop valuable skills. These opportunities are a key part of our holistic approach, helping to shape well-rounded individuals ready to take on the challenges of the future. This week, some of our pupils were fortunate enough to visit the AO Arena to watch the Davis Cup tennis tournament. Witnessing world-class athletes in action was an unforgettable experience, and we hope it has sparked some inspiration among our sports enthusiasts. Six of our Year 11 pupils proudly represented our school as flag bearers at the Manchester United Legends Vs Celtic Legends charity match at Old Trafford last week. We are delighted with the new partnership we have forged with the Manchester United Foundation as this will give our pupils further opportunities to develop a range of skills. Our Year 6 pupils also participated in an important workshop focused on managing anxiety and worries, run by Thrive in Education. As a school, we are deeply committed to supporting mental health and emotional well-being, ensuring our pupils have the tools they need to face life’s challenges with resilience and confidence. This week, we were very proud to introduce to parents and the school our new Y11 prefect body, with Jane Idojiere and Laith Hill as Head Prefects and Mona Adam and Hamzah Warriah as Deputy Head Prefects. We wish them and all our Year 11 prefects the best in this new role and I am sure their passion and commitment will support us in making further improvement across the school. Finally, we would like to thank all the parents and carers who attended our "Welcome to Year 11 Evening " on Thursday. We believe in a strong home-school partnership and we hope that the information that we presented was useful to our parents and carers so they can further support their children at home. We hope you have a lovely weekend, Mrs J. Arnold and Mrs F. Bond
